Symbol's M2004 Hands Free or hand held bar code scanner enables you to decode existing, new and emerging bar codes with one device. It provides four different scan patterns, allowing your operators to easily switch to the one they need, depending on what they’re scanning. This enables you to use one device even in situations where there is a mix of data collection needs, such as in retail, healthcare, warehousing and shipping environments.

To speed processes, you need a single device able to collect different types of data, such as at your checkout counters where operators must scan both merchandise and customer driver’s licenses.

To ensure compatibility with emerging standards, the M2000 supports reduced space symbology (RSS) and 14-digit global trade item number (GTIN) bar codes. And, multiple on-board interfaces allow you to use your scanner with different host systems.
The M2000 lets your employees switch easily between handheld and hands-free operations to scan heavy and bulky items without lifting them, and smaller items without holding the scanner.
